Yes, I got it.
We were a little late due to a traffic jam in Zurich city. Called the Apple Store and they told me they couldn’t guarantee it would still be there. Was there 10 minutes late. Got the iPhone without any problems.
While waiting, I overheard them telling customers twice that they had to reserve one so they could get one…
I ordered an iPhone 7 Jetblack with 256GB on September 9th, 2016 shortly after 9:00 a.m. and also have no information. Unfortunately, I haven’t been able to reserve an iPhone yet. This morning an iPhone 7 Jetblack 256GB went online in Geneva, but a 2.5 hour train ride is a bit too much for me.:smileyvery-happy:
@Wallfab I’m still well served with my iPhone 6. My patience is slowly running out, I have no problem waiting for my iPhone. But for me it is not possible to receive information from Swisscom regarding delivery times. I’ll play this game until Thursday, otherwise there’s a Friday afternoon on the train to an Apple shop.
I also had the iPhone 7 Plus with 128GB on 9/9. Ordered at around 12.15 p.m.
After 2 weeks I still had 0 information from Swisscom until Saturday.
This is simply not acceptable in this day and age with the state of technology.
That’s why I started trying to order one directly from Apple.
These are not close to me either, but are between 1.40 and 2 hours’ drive away. But that didn’t bother me because I’m on vacation and have enough time anyway, and I don’t mind driving longer distances.
So on Saturday morning I was lucky to get the model I wanted in Geneva.
Super nice people, everything happened very quickly. However, a reservation is a MUST! There were around 15-20 people in front of me in line who probably hadn’t made a reservation or arrived too late. In any case, after a short wait I was picked up by an Apple employee, was able to get past the rest of the queue and was immediately served and given very good advice.
If you would like to extend the contract, you should state this right at the beginning of the conversation.
The price is the same as Swisscom.
Just keep updating the availability page at Apple and you’ll definitely get the item you want… 🙂
By the way, the Apple store in Geneva is located in an absolutely posh area of Geneva. There are also shops for Gucci, Louis Vitton, Dolce & Gabana and others. 🙂 It was exciting for me to strut around as a country bumpkin in such an environment. 🙂
@micfil
So you got yours from Apple too 🙂 I had a great experience there too. If I had known earlier that the loyalty offer could also be taken advantage of there, I would have ordered there immediately. I’ll do the same next time, I’ve learned from it 🙂
@everyone who is still waiting
There was information here that some iPhones (and also iPhone Plus) should be released this week. The date was September 30th. specified. Maybe the long wait will soon be over, I definitely wish you the best of luck! 🙂
@Quitschentli Yes, I finally managed it. 🙂
I didn’t know until now that it was possible to extend the contract straight away from Apple. In 2 years I’ll have it done there directly. 🙂
Hello dear forum…if you are lucky enough to get a device via the reservation page, you will have to print out the page. There is also a QR code on it. This makes things easier for you in the store. They scan the code and know immediately.
@ to everyone who already has their new iPhone…What are your first impressions? I was able to test it well at the weekend and you always discover something new. Maybe it’s because it’s my first time having a Plus model. Write your opinions about it. When it comes to the color, I can say that even if I have the “normal” black, it looks really chic.
Otherwise, I hope that we continue to exchange ideas here in the forum, whether with or without the new toy:smileywink:
