Sound problems with swisscom tv 2.0

  • Hello everyone

Maybe someone here can help me.

For a few days my Swisscom TV 2.0 box has had a quieter sound than before.

I now have to raise the volume about 20 levels higher on my surround system.

I changed the HDMI cable, the Swisscom Box was also replaced, unfortunately everything

    without success.

Radio is also a bit louder than TV for me. As far as I know, this needs to be adjusted.

Which standard the levels refer to was explained here in the forum some time ago.

As far as I know, one of the last firmware upgrades lowered the volume to normal levels.

I had the same problem, but a few months ago and there were a few posts on this topic here in the forum. That’s why I’m surprised that it’s only happening to you now.

Anyway, since I can individually adjust the basic volume per input of the amplifier, this isn’t a problem, at least for me.

The question naturally arises as to whether this is an effect of Swisscom’s “re-scaling” of the volume or whether there is an error.

    - Is the sound output of the TV-Box set to stereo or Dolby? Is the level the same in both settings?

    - Have you ever performed a factory reset on the TV-Box?

    Hello

So I don’t know what a factory reset is, but I’m assuming that’s what you do

A needle behind the box can make a reset. Which I have already done without success.

It doesn’t matter whether the box is set to stereo or surround, there is no difference.

At volume 50 on the Swisscom Box.

Yes, the one with the needle is a factory reset.

It is now difficult or impossible to answer whether the excessively low volume is due to a defect in TV-Box, TV or amplifier or to the adjustment by Swisscom, which for whatever reason was delayed in delivery by a few weeks.

I’m guessing the second one, because some users here in the forum report that they have to set the volume on the TV-Box to values between 35 and 50 and then regulate the volume themselves with the FB of the TV or amplifier. This is not very convenient, but according to earlier information from Swisscom, Swisscom TV-Box was set to the standard level while most other sources are too loud, contrary to the norm.

    Hello Hed

Thanks for your answer, what I also noticed is that when I turn on the Swisscom Box from the TV

Changing the radio the radio is also quite loud, so there is a difference whether I watch TV or

    Listen to the radio.

As I said, everything is getting easier and easier, grin and I think when it comes to normal values

Will that be his business? I don’t know how you calculate this value either.
