Desire S – Swisscom RUU

  • Hoi same

Since the update to 1.47.166.2, the mail program on my Desire S has been worrying me.

Sometimes it gets stuck when synchronizing the 2 Exchange accounts. Accordingly, things are running hot and the amount of data is approaching infinity (especially sent data). Stupid if this happens at night and you notice it too late. 🙂

Unfortunately, a full reset of the phone doesn’t help; the problem still exists, even with only one Exchange account set up.

Before the update things were running smoothly. Therefore: Do any of you (*wink* @Swisscom support) have a Swisscom RUU from an earlier software version? Unfortunately, both the Vodafone RUU and the Europe RUU do not work.

    Greetings and thank you

    • And the solution is to still have XTC Clip and CM in the end. 🙂

Anyone who would like to do this conveniently using XTC Clip instead of using Alpharev/Revolutionary (currently still laboriously using detours with 0002 and branding) should contact us via PM.

Have you ever set up your Exchange account again? (I assume this with a full reset)

You can install a custom rom. There are enough instructions.

    Yes, unfortunately it doesn’t help.

And Alpharev already works for the Desire S, but only for HBOOT 0.98.0000. But HBOOT 0.98.0002 came with the update. And the gingerbreak exploit that would be needed to downgrade the bootloader no longer works with the latest software version… Do you see the problem? ^^

Sooner or later an XTC clip will have to come along… Because I doubt that HTC will open the bootloader on the Desire S before 2012.:smileyindifferent:

    Thank you one weigh!

    Hello bunny

I contacted you yesterday, but maybe the message hasn’t arrived (yet).

My SWISSCOM HTC Desire S has its bootloader unblocked and rooted.

Now I should get S-OFF (HBOOT 2.00.002) which obviously only works with the old HBOOT 98…

    is possible.

A functional older SWISSCOM RUU for the downgrade is apparently not known/available, so apparently the only option is the XTC clip.

The goal is to debrand the SWISSCOM Desire S to get rid of the Swisscom bells and whistles.

Alternative: After all the time-consuming attempts, an unbranded device from e.g. Buy Digitec.

What does your XTC clip offer?

    Kind regards and many thanks
