Hello everyone, I think Swisscom is slowly getting the whole thing under control.

This afternoon everything worked without any problems, even the remote control and the replay, but it would be a great help to us if Swisscom could explain a few things. Whether it’s the box or the remote control, I think it has nothing to do with the remote control, I think the networks are overloaded.

When the nets are overloaded does the remote control start to go crazy?

I think it has to do with the server infrastructure. Especially when it comes to replay and recordings, it involves huge amounts of data. With SC TV 1.0 there were, firstly, only 30 hours of replay and secondly, the recordings were on your own hard drive. Now the things are stored on servers all over Switzerland.

In addition, it is now possible to record tens of channels in parallel and then watch more from the recording/replay. And instead of watching the whole thing directly from its box, it could be that many TV viewers are accessing the same file at the same time or whatever.

Today the remote control didn’t work (for the first time) since I got SC TV 2.0. I can’t explain why either. A restart fixed everything again.

I would like to read one of the developers here who would explain what’s behind the whole thing, maybe they would have more understanding and see that it’s not necessarily due to an immature product, but rather due to insufficient infrastructure.

I don’t think any developer is reading this. 1. They will be external and 2. they hardly have any time for it at the moment 🙂

Apple TV 3 is annoying, it’s a known fact (searching in the forum helps - a solution is also easy to find in the forum)

It’s just a pious wish ;-), I don’t think a supporter on the hotline can answer such things. And maybe others are reading along who have something to say and instead of a letter to the customers there is a letter from a developer or someone who sees a little more of the hierarchy or the problem, which might explain the whole thing at the moment

Use the search in the forum. You don’t have to do without Apple TV, you have to deactivate Bluetooth on the Apple TV. Furthermore, this is a workaround until Swisscom provides a “real” solution.

Remote control still works! I think the problem lies somewhere else!!

There are a few other possible sources of interference, which have already been described countless times here in the forum. It is quite possible that there is also a source of interference in the neighborhood. For some users it also helped to place the TV-Box a little further away from other electronic devices. If that and the helpdesk (0800 800 800) can’t help, all you have to do is wait until the problem is fixed. As an alternative, you can also use the IR dongel with the Harmony FB or the AP on the phone or tablet.

I’ll link to myself.
If there are still problems with Apple TV and the Bluetooth FB, perhaps this is an option for some.

Of course you have to order an IR dongle.

As I said, yesterday I tried to get the option command on the Harmony from the old black FB.
Logitec doesn’t have that, you can teach it, but you need an IR signal.

Hence my visit.
And when I try, the TV box suddenly responds to the command.

So just tried out the old black FB and what can I say, it plays 1:1 for me.

This could mean that if you want to teach the BOSE the commands, but cannot use the white FB from Swisscom due to the lack of an IR transmitter, just try using the old black one from the TV1 box. So transfer the operating commands from the old black FB to the BOSE FB and try it out.

With a bit of luck it will play together.

It can’t do more than not work.

Hi Louis

The “Option” command is assigned to the “Info” button (bottom right) on the Harmony.

The function of long pressing the “Back” button (original SCTV2.0 FB), which commands the immediate switch to LiveTV, can be carried out with the “EXIT” button on the Harmony and works perfectly for me.

Doesn’t that work for you?

We use 3 SC-TV 2.0 boxes. All three remote controls have worked absolutely problem-free since the beginning.

Bluetooth, including on smartphones, TABs, etc., is switched off everywhere because I don’t need it. So for us, the SCTV2 remote controls are the only Bluetooth devices around.

Kind regards

Should.

But because I twisted the Harmony’s button assignment a little in order to be able to easily operate my Samsung TV, some of the original assignments were thrown out.
When I realized that the options button was missing, I searched in the Logitec program and the name doesn’t exist there.

Hence my “detour” with the black FB and the result.

Well, on the other hand, I would probably never have known otherwise that all of my other FBs also work with the dongle…
