I set the dhcp option mentioned here for DSL connection (even though I am using FTTH): https://www.swisscom.ch/en/residential/help/device/internet-router/external-router.html and after restarting the router, I received the login page and now it works. It would be great if someone from Swisscom clarify if this option is needed for FTTH and if so update the help page for external routers.
Hello, I am using the fiber connection for over 2 years with internet box standard. Now, I am trying to setup a UniFi Security Gateway Pro external router replacing the internet box. I am using an SFP module (1310/1490) and using VLAN 10. DHCP works and I can get an IP and ping the gateway successfully. However, after this I cannot access anywhere. If I open a web browser, it directs me to a page saying, this connection has not been activated yet, and it asks me a 6 digits code number. To get the activation code, it says to get in touch with the telecom service provider providing the following connection identification number, an 12 digit hex number. I saw posts like this one: https://community.swisscom.ch/t5/Router-Hardware/pfsense-amp-TP-Link-MC220L-DHCP-works-but-no-internet/td-p/548478, but I never get a page asking me to login etc. I called the hotline, and they basically said they do not support external routers (which I understand) and all the information is on swisscom (public or customer center) pages. The only thing I can find regarding to this matter is to use VLAN 10 which I already do. So this was not helpful. Any further hints ? Mete
