IPv6 is necessary and everybody is moving there albeit slowly. In Asia there are sites that can only be accessed over IPv6 now. Internally backbones are running IPv6. They are very much capable to enable IPv6 now and it probably will happen in a few years. I guess they do not feel it is a priority. At home I have opted for Init7 because of IPv6 and standards support. IPv6 is largely adopted in Finland that I know well. Operators like DNA run dual stack.
