Ich frage mich, ob ich der einzige bin, der auf eine NAT-Loopback-Option auf einem professionellen Modem wartet. Wer hat Neuigkeiten dazu? Und du, brauchst du das? Vielen Dank für Ihr Feedback.
Hi Everyone, @MichelB @Anonym , Back on track with latest update 11.00.32. Positive: - WPA3 is activated, that a really good point - Wireless now show the Channel bandwidth (that depends on environment, neighbour wireless) Negative: - It now show 1Gbit/s (10 Gbit/s previously) that bad :/. It might be right due to Tranceiver limitation - 1 Gbit/s - Do you plan to provide a 10 Gbit/s tranceiver ? For my understanding it must show the Access Speed value, ports a really 10 Gbit/s (??) - Swisscom HD Phone : ring, answer, but no sound. Fixed by activating Analogue Corded telephone, even I do not have any Analgue Corded phone connected. So far it works as expected; more easier on Fiber connection 😉
@Anonym @MichelB Something even more interesting: my WLAN name backup from very old backup (and synchro with the customer area) has underscored symbols. But now if I try to add any underscore, it says that it cannot be used. Question: this has any impact on WIFI stability or anything else ? Cause this is kind of usual symbol that be used across any other system. (for ie "Swisscom_Auto_Login" for Public WLAN) Thank for your feedback regarding this case.
@Anonym @MichelB Today tests were focused on two matters: WIFI and gateway identification. WIFI - It seems that WIFI 6 ax cannot be turned off on 2.4GHz. 5GHz can toggle correctly. - I was not able to see if 160 MMz works/enabled on 5GHz with Wireless scanner tools/computers (this need to be investigated by Swisscom) Identification - Swisscom TV Box cannot see the Gateway type/name /shows “-“) - Wireless survey tools identify the IB3 under "Swisscom Internet-Box plus 2" name - Swisscom Home App (iOS) identify the IB3 as "DiagnosticStargateV3Name". Questions: - Will Mobile Tethering support be added on IB3 ? - Do you plan to provide any 10Gb SFP? - What the GPON serial number refers to ? (serial do not match the SPF installed.) Some ideas: - On WLAN-Box, it would be appreciable to have set to turn off/on the WIFI (use the box as a simple switch) and have WLAN radio settings to set Radio channels. Available to test new WLAN-Nox device.
Hi, I finally received the IB3 yesterday. Connected, blinking red 5 minutes, kind of firmware + basic settings update. Then I proceeded with IB2 settings restore, and get everything working smoothly. Even WLAN-Box get connected. Firmware version 11.00.26 / 11.00.08 Bootloader version 0.5.9m/0.5.12s Tested so far: (and working) - WLAN-Box pairing ok - Local IP Phone (Gigaset S850A) ok - HP Phone Davos (get powered by the USB Modem port) - Phonebook ok - WLAN seams OK - Mystrom (everything works) ok - Successfully test : Custom Application IP, Cache deactivated, IP Attribution, ... ok - WLAN Power On ok - Coreded telephones off ok - Brightness off ok - Home app (seams ok) - Call list ok - WLAN synchronization ok - DHCP ok - IP v6 ok - Network topology ok (I have fully Ubiquiti network, no issue at all) Missing: - Tethering via USB Optical signal: Upstream -5.217 dBm Downstream -8.386 dBm RAM usage seems high: 587/1024 MB Missing Translation: [K] WLAN standard (more explanation required on how it works) Question: - If a new WLAN-Box will be released, I am ready to beta test as well. - Same for new Service Access / Access change - Please change my Public Internet IP Address - debug file is quite huge (10mb) with lots of "Oct 17 13:26:35 (none) dhcpv6d_plugin: dhcpv6d - [!]Option not yet supported - (dhcpv6d_packet_addORO@src/dhcpv6d_packet.c:350)"
Hi @Anonym , Great news regarding IB3 and Firmware 11 release, but do you have more precise dates concerning, Hardware test, firmware release, .... ? I've just saw that SCS will provide a 10Gb XGS-PON subscription this year (maybe 2,5 and 5Gb as well) as part of the new Fiber offering; I understand why 2,5 Gb ports have been choosen for the new IB3, and totally agree why. Thanks for your feedback. iPing
Hi, no. No answer so far. I hope that someone from swisscom may answer. This may explain the poor Wireless coverage and speed. The box behivour seams anyway really strange. As far I understand, all value can varies for sur, but having 100% then 0%, then 100% it's more a misfunctioning comming from the Askey box and/or vestiacom.
I am wondering to understand how tht WLAN works.
I noted that the Transmitting power in 2.4Gh goes from 15.5 and then drain to 0, and sometime I only have 15.5 on Ant0 and 0 on Ant1/2.
And sometime even RSSI in 5Gh Ant1/2/3 is 0.
It's this the correct behaviours?
Other information are not so easy to understand by the way.
Thanks GuidoT and Happy easter.
Hi @Anonym , I saw that SCS just got published a new firmware for the IB2, named v10.01.38. Since I running v10.01.36 with the v3.1 of the box, could you please explain what has been fixed on the new version. I've tried manully to upgrade, but it the upgrade stuck; i cannot proceed with. What should I do ? Thanks
@MichelB Thanks Michel. Yes, after a reboot, the box started correctly. But you see loop booting is not so cool sinc eyou gert the red LED on the front. Looking forward to get a news update. By the way Klaus contacted my regarding this. (Ticket 4436 issued) Thanks
Hi @MichelB, Do you have any new regarding IB2 OS10 update ? Since 10.00.44 my Box rebooted by itself 3 times, and last time on Sunday the Box just keep rebooting in a loop. Coud you please check? Thanks Giuseppe
Hi, I used 09.00.60 since the first hour. Here you have my feedback: - CPU ok, it seems to take lower load - IP Fix, finally solved and working (i had to do a full reset, few address were blocked. Not listed on the GUI but used ??) - VPN works - Local IP phone works - Wireless 2.4+5: this DO NOT WORK like with 09.00.50 build and getting as a Joke. Less Tx rate, less distance, weak/poor signal than before. No change on my side, but I had this feeling since the update! - Configuration Backup and restore from the customer area DO NOT Works. (nor linked to the firmware) Enrichment: - Have all list sorted by the IP, or at least grouped by and sorted by static IP, no static IP, no IP needed. Merry Christmas.
Hi @Anonym and @MichelB. New version feedback: - DSL Signal to noise with Ikanos board is better, and showing less variation than before. This is quite better to increase Transmission in my case. - Wireless is definitively better: more strong and transfer rate attainable higher. - Box means stable at this point - Speedtest does not work on mac OS X 10.13 set by default, (even if Java and Flash were activated) Are you sure this use HTML5? - Local IP Phone works - Having option to set the DHCP (duration in hours) would be helpfull is case of offering Wifi to guests. Bugs: - I still cannot set an IP that was used the week ago to the other device. (as per my email I sent you on 24 September) And this is very boring and ambarasing at this time!!! - Device that was not connected for a long time are still shown on device list (That must be limited by DHCP bail for me) - Please sort all lists by the IP Address. Other remarks: - On the Home App iOS, please add decimals on Speedtest values. Best regards
