Through my phone I can connect, through my computer I can't. The fact that I can connect to my home WLAN (Internet-Box-2) from abroad using the "data roaming" feature of my phone either using (a) directly my phone (on Android 11) or using (b) my new tablet (on Android 10) or (c) my old tablet (on Android 6) by tethering through Bluetooth with my phone, shows that the connection parameters are duly set and that my Internet-Box 2 seems to respond correctly. My problem arises if I try to achieve the same connections having my devices connected to another local WLAN (clearly not my home WLAN). Practically, if I cut my working data roaming connection and I switch back to my local internet connection, the connection to the home WLAN fails and I get back a cryptic message saying that “The connection was prevented because of a policy configured on mine RAS/VPN server. Specifically, the authentication method used by the server to verify my username and password may not match the authentication method configured in your connection profile. … blabla…”. Please consider that I did install an additional Internet Booster that should enhance the Internet signal through a G3/G4 phone connection (?), due to a very bad Internet connection where my home WLAN is located. Why on earth I can’t connect remotely to my home WLAN going through my local (abroad) Internet connection? Who can give me a hint on what I should check further ? THX. CiBi
