Move photos from Google Photos to MyCloud

  • Hello

Would like to move several TB of photos and videos from Google Phots to Swisscom MyCloud. All the instructions I found are unclearly described or don’t work. Most of the time a message appears in Mycloud (copy here. Photos cannot be copied.)

There’s really no way. I am grateful for any help!

    Best regards

    • Hello @marcus

Unfortunately, your path is currently the only one. We are currently working on a solution to import files into the myCloud more easily and quickly,
Unfortunately this will take a while.

A note: in the TV app on Swisscom TV the folders created in the file area can be viewed,

However, there are limitations with regard to the range of functions.
Not all files are supported, or, for example, the map display, which is helpful for photos, for example, is not supported.

With the “Copy to Photos” function [https://help.mycloud.ch/hc/de/articles/115001566694-Was-macht-die-funktion-Nach-Fotos-kopieren-](https://help.mycloud .ch/hc/de/articles/115001566694-What-does-the-function-copy-to-photos-)

Albums can easily be created from photos in file directories/folders. They will then appear in the photo area in the myCloud app, and the range of functions intended for photos will be available again (editing names, location, time, images, etc.).

      Does this information help?

      Best regards

      Mario

Download photos/videos from Google and copy them to MyCloud.

You can’t keep albums. You have to recreate it.

Or you can create folders in the Files area. Then you won’t see them on the TV.

    @MarioLé

    Good description of the possibilities.

It should perhaps be added that the “Folders to Albums” campaign is a one-time copy campaign.

If the folder contents change after copying, e.g. by uploading additional images using the desktop client, the contents of the albums will no longer be updated.
