The Swisscom TV-Box offers various apps for viewing or listening to personal content such as wedding photos, holiday movies and your favourite music. Read on for more info.

Do you have a Swisscom TV HD-Box or a UHD-Box already? This affects the apps and content you will be able to play back. The table below shows you what is possible and what not. If you already have the latest Swisscom Box with Voice Assistant, you can play the same apps on it as with the UHD Box.

Photos, movies, music: the apps that can do everything

MyCloud.pngmyCloud: Upload your photos, movies and music from your computer to myCloud and then view them on Swisscom TV via the myCloud app. You can then find the app on the Swisscom TV home screen under "Recommended apps".

AWox.pngAwoX: Use this app to view your photos on TV via USB or DLNA and UPnP. After launching the app, you can send your photos, movies and music to your TV via “Cast to Device”. If you are using a USB device, it must be formatted to FAT16 or FAT32. NTFS only works with the UHD-Box, exFAT does not.

AirScreen.jpgAirScreen: Use this app to view your photos on TV via USB or DLNA and UPnP. After launching the app, you can send your photos, movies and music to your TV via “Cast to Device”. If you are using a USB device, it must be formatted to FAT16 or FAT32. NTFS only works with the UHD-Box, exFAT does not.

Plex.pngPlex: If you use Plex app to organise your photos, videos and music on your mobile or tablet, you can also use it on Swisscom TV. You need a Plex server for this, so you can log yourself from the app.

Apps for video and sound

VLC.pngVLC: Use this app to display movies and music that are also on your NAS or PC on your TV via DLNA or SMB. If you are using a USB device, it must be formatted to FAT16 or FAT32. NTFS only works with the UHD-Box, exFAT does not.

Youtube.pngYouTube: You can access all your YouTube content on Swisscom TV via the YouTube app. If you have your own YouTube channel, you can of course also watch it.

Spotify.pngSpotify: The Spotify app is also great for your favourite music. A particularly cool feature: You don’t have to download the music first, but can stream certain albums or playlists directly via Spotify. To do this, create a Spotify account, open the app on your TV-Box and log in.

DSvideo.pngDS video: If you store your files on a Synology NAS, you can watch films on your TV via the DS video app. Use the DS photo app for photos on this NAS. Use one of the versions above for music.
