The BMW iX is the first 5G car, thanks to Swisscom’s new Multi Device option. The car becomes another networked Multi Device just like a smartwatch or tablet. When you get into the vehicle, you are connected to the best network through your mobile subscription, thanks to your car’s eSIM.
Better connected – even without a smartphone
The vehicle becomes a mobile device. You can independently make calls, send messages and access music or maps through the Internet, even if your smartphone has been left at home.
When you switch to the BMW vehicle, the ‘Follow-me’ function ensures that you are immediately connected and your personal settings are automatically transferred.
How do I activate the new option?
The ‘Cars and Mobilities’ option is available to all residential customers with a Multi Device-compatible Swisscom mobile subscription for a monthly charge of CHF 10.–. Simply log into the My BMW app and select the option. > Go to instructions
