Dynamic DNS mit Unifi Dream Machine Pro und Centro Business 2.0?

Hello everyone,

I’ve been running the Dream Machine Pro behind the Centro Business 2.0 in passthrough mode for a few months now. Now I have the requirement to access the network via VPN. I would love to configure Dynamic DNS on the Machine Pro, but it has the IP 172.31.255.6 configured because of passthrough and so the Machine Pro sends this IP to the Dynamic DNS providers. I thought I could configure Dynamic DNS on the Swisscom router but Centro doesn’t offer any custom Dynamic DNS providers, only a few that are unfortunately not free.

  1. Do you know a way how the Machine Pro sends the correct IP to Dynamic DNS Provider instead of 172.31.255.6?
  2. Or maybe you know how I can configure a dynamic DNS provider like afraid.org in the Centro Business 2.0?

There are routers that can also track DynDNS using an external service as an alternative to using pure WAN IP.

Unfortunately, I don’t know whether a Dream Machine can do this (possibly using an additional script).
