Use of combox with prepaid

Hello, I have a Swisscom prepaid account. I can manage it via the cockpit. I want to use combox with it.

I tried to check for messages in my Combox (in case I have one already) using these instructions but I could not get the system to recognize my number.

From abroad
  • Call your COMBOX® on +41 79 499 79 79.
  • You will be prompted to enter your mobile phone number (e.g. 079 999 99 99).
  • Enter * to interrupt the greeting; you will then be told to enter your PIN and finally # .
  • Otherwise, you will be guided through the menu.
  • Enter your PIN code. If you don't know your PIN, it will be sent to you by SMS. You need not interrupt the call. Follow the instructions you hear.

I noticed that calling +41 79 499 79 79 costs 0.69 USD with the service I use. I call all over the world and normally only pay 0.05, or 0.02 USD for calls.

I stopped at a Swisscom shop in Zurich airport and after a 15 minutes discussion I was told that it is not possible to set up combox-pro with email on prepaid.

Questions:

Is combox a free service or do I have to pay for combox?

How do I set up combox on my prepaid from outside the country?

How do I check for messages on combox

Re: Calling +41 79 499 79 79: Is there some cheaper way to check combox for activity?

Re: Combox-pro: Is this correct? Is there another way to get access to combox via email fro a prepaid account?

Is it possible to forward my calls to an international number? If so how can I find out the cost?

Hello @csshep

The Combox basic is a free service included in all post and prepaid offers. The Combox pro option, CHF 5.- per month, is only available for mobile subscriptions.

You can find NATEL® easy smart tariffs for calls/SMS/Data in Switzerland and abroad here http://bit.ly/1IUG49W and here http://bit.ly/2dv0uft

If you lost your PIN, text "Combox" to 444.

It is possible to forward the incoming calls on an international number, but I would definitely not recommend it due to roaming fees.

Please find more information about the Combox on our website and on the Combox manual.

Hope it helps!

Cheers,
