I simply set up a direct link to https://cockpit.swisscom.ch and placed it on the start screen (or in a folder) - that’s just as easy for me How to use the app?
And yes - for me, access via the browser also worked abroad, even if I no longer had any credit.

Why is the Cockpit app no longer supported? The detour via the browser is not exactly customer-friendly. Is access via the browser also free? Even abroad? If you are allowed to travel again.
As to why it is no longer offered, I can say that swisscom would have to comment on this.
The website, like the app, can be accessed free of charge from anywhere.
The former Cockpit app was nothing more than a simple app that functioned as a browser. The cockpit URL was also opened in the background.
Since this only makes limited sense today, as you can already use the “Add To HomeScreen” function as @whoever mentioned, the app has probably not been further developed.
You can actually only point out disadvantages:
- Requires memory
- Greater effort on Swisscom’s part
- Updates must be installed if, for example, the URL were changed to cockpit.myswisscom.ch
- and… and… and…

Hello zame
The situation is as already mentioned by other users. The app was nothing more than a “container” that called up the website https://cockpit.swisscom.ch and did not offer any additional functionality. However, the disadvantage was that this “container” had certain limitations compared to a full-fledged browser, which led to additional maintenance costs. That’s why it was decided to decommission the app.
Access to Cockpit from abroad was and remains free and works even if no data package or inclusive volume is available. This was the case with the app and is also the case with the browser. No matter whether Chrome, Firefox, etc.
Hope this helps.
