I have still problem with the UBUNTU VPN  - in the L2TP IPsec options - I have to enter a GATEWAY ID ??

 

My local gateway ID: 192.168....doesn't work....WHAT to enter???

  1. Select Layer 2 Tunneling Protocol (L2TP).
  2. Enter anything you like in the Namefield.
  3. Enter Your VPN Server IP for the Gateway. (Public IP or DDNS Name)
  4. Enter Your VPN Username for the User name.
  5. Right-click the ? in the Password field, select Store the password only for this user.
  6. Enter Your VPN Password for the Password.
  7. Leave the NT Domain field blank.
  8. Click the IPsec Settings... button.
  9. Check the Enable IPsec tunnel to L2TP host checkbox.
  10. Leave the Gateway ID field blank.
  11. Enter Your VPN IPsec PSK for the Pre-shared key.
