Smartphones &/or IPad

I am presently using two e-mail addresses on two Windows & one Mac laptops.  No problem.  However, when I try to load a bluewin.ch e-mail address on either an IPhone, an IPad, or an Android smartphone, it will not allow me in & gives me an "Unable to connect to the server" msg.  I have spent hours on the internet trying to find answers.  I have been to a Swisscom shop in Geneva trying to find answers.  All they could say was "change your password."  I refuse to believe that changing a password is the answer, but I did that; to no avail.  WHY WILL BLUEWIN NOT CONNECT TO A SMARTPHONE OR IPAD?  High level of frustration here!!!  Merci

Would you believe it a changed password fixed the issue for me?! 🤔

I refuse to believe that!!!  Bluewin is hiding something, because changing the password DID NOT WORK for me.  My Mother-in-Law is almost 80 years old, & she HATES change; so changing her  password is a NO-GO.  What the hell is wrong with Swisscom that they can't solve this issue????  I have had to change several smartphones, have not been able to link her to her e-mails with an IPad, and now everyone seems to throw up their hands & say, "Changing the password is the answer."  Ain't no-way!!!!!!!!!!!  Swisscom, SOLVE THE PROBLEM!!!!

Please check that your settings are up-to-date

www.swisscom.ch/email-update

 

The e-mail parameters should be as follows

Incoming mail server

IMAP4: imaps.bluewin.ch (Port 993)
Outgoing mail server

SMTP: smtpauths.bluewin.ch (Port 465)

Password

Authentication method: password, plain, normal or SPA deactivated

Alternatively, the swisscom bluewin webmail is a simple solution, running on all platforms and always up-to-date
