Smartphones &/or IPad

I am presently using two e-mail addresses on two Windows & one Mac laptops.  No problem.  However, when I try to load a e-mail address on either an IPhone, an IPad, or an Android smartphone, it will not allow me in & gives me an "Unable to connect to the server" msg.  I have spent hours on the internet trying to find answers.  I have been to a Swisscom shop in Geneva trying to find answers.  All they could say was "change your password."  I refuse to believe that changing a password is the answer, but I did that; to no avail.  WHY WILL BLUEWIN NOT CONNECT TO A SMARTPHONE OR IPAD?  High level of frustration here!!!  Merci
