The CRAM-MD5 password protocol has been obsolete for some time now.
In order to ensure maximum security for Bluewin users now and in the future, the installation settings have been updated for approximately three years.
Users were informed of the change in 2019 and 2020. The deactivation of these protocols began last year and ended at the beginning of this year. While most E-Mail apps automatically adapt in the event of protocol updates, this is not the case for some devices. And these settings are specific to the user’s E-Mail client and cannot be updated by the E-Mail provider.
