Configuration e-mails imaps smtpauths Outlook

  • Samsung Galaxy, Outlook email, address xxx@bluewin.ch

    Good morning!

I can’t reconnect this address to my email app (IMAP). MS Outlook support tells me that a valid TLS certificate must be installed on the mail server (bluewin, therefore). In my Swisscom customer area, I cannot find where to configure this. Who should/can do it?

    Thank you for your response.

    • Ynapag likes that.
    • Happy ending: I uninstalled and then reinstalled Outlook mobile. For the first address @Bluewin, the account is created easily and immediately. For the second address, you must insist: choose “connection” after the first error message.

A lot of wasted time and hotline costs: the user suffers without having made a mistake. Thank you anyway to those who looked into the question.

    Hello @Dausovei78

Certificates are managed directly by server administrators.

I’m thinking more of a bad server address. I am surprised to see this error with an address in bluewin.ch (it happens with automatic configurations when you use your own domain).

Try checking the configuration settings by starting from the email configuration help page and following the manual process

Check if there is a typo in the settings.

Thanks, but no luck. After 2 minutes of searching, Outlook says “Connection error. No secure connection is available. Do you still want to connect?” (if yes chosen: failure). I tried to modify the mdp: without success. I note that I have another bluewin address, which has worked perfectly for several years on the same application (currently in IMAP). What?

We get lost. All of this has already been checked and retried. Here is the finding from MS Outlook Support: “I discovered that your mail server does not have a valid TLS certificate installed, and this is a prerequisite for Outlook. Only the mail administrator can do this. But this is not complicated…”.

The problem with this observation is that all bluewin Outlook users should have the same problem and the other account should not work either!

    23 days later

    Good morning,

I’m asking for help because I have the exact same problem…. I uninstalled Outlook several times after canceling the 2 accounts (outlook.com and imap). but when I reinstall outlook, both on my tablet and on my smartphone, the 1st account is installed automatically (outlook.com) but impossible to put the 2nd IMAP account. Same error response as Dausovei78, also with an address @bluewin

I’ve been struggling for 8 days, because no emails can be read on my phone or tablet, except when I go to the bluewin website of course.

On my PC, it works, also via imap on Office 365.

I’m losing my Latin and my patience.

If you had a suggestion that would be great. Because every time I uninstall the app, it interrupts communications with outlook support and I have to start again… I almost have 30 printscreens….
