Swisscom is bringing all of its entertainment products under the ‘blue’ umbrella. Read on to discover what this means for you.
Swisscom TV will become Swisscom blue TV, Teleclub options are called blue+ and, instead of the Kitag Cinema, in the future, you’ll be visiting the blue Cinema.Swisscom’s restructured entertainment offering brings you new options.
blue TV als an app on the TV (OTT)
Swisscom is taking the first step towards OTT (over-the-top content) in the TV sector. The blue TV app will be available on Samsung smart TVs (models from 2017 onwards). Support for other smart TV providers is currently being reviewed.
Where can I find the year of manufacture for my TV?
You can check the year in the model name (example: UE55RU7170).TV sets with the following codes have come onto the market since 2017: Q, RU, LS, R, NU, N, MU, M. Find out more
UPC customers should also be able to subscribe to and enjoy all blue+ content such as sports, series and documentary channels or film rentals directly via the app on UPC TV Box in the next few weeks.UPC customers with an existing Teleclub subscription can continue to watch the content directly through their channel list, while blue Sport has a larger channel selection on the app. The new packages – blue Max, blue Doku (German, English) and blue Premium (French) – are only available on the app.
On several devices without another TV-Box
Swisscom inOne customers with a TV subscription no longer need a TV-Box to watch blue TV on additional TV sets. Subscriptions are available for additional streams directly via the app on the smart TV. While the TV-Box will be optional, it still offers the best overall experience.
If you are not a Swisscom customer yet, you can order blue TV Air (without an internet/fixed network subscription from Swisscom) and enjoy viewing via the app on your TV, tablet or smartphone. New pay TV package
Swisscom is also introducing new pay-TV packages, simplifying the products on offer. In German-speaking Switzerland, the new package blue Max is the best for series freaks and film fans. blue Doku combines the 10 largest international documentary providers in one package. For French-speaking Switzerland, blue Premium and Les+ offer content for the whole family with films, documentaries and children's channels. Teleclub Sport is now called blue Sport and continues to feature the biggest sporting events and major football leagues in Europe and Switzerland.
