Swisscom uses Patchman, a common, well-established solution, to identify security vulnerabilities and malware.


Can patches be reversed?

Yes, all patches can be reversed.


What is the purpose of automatically removing security vulnerabilities and quarantining malware?

To protect your website from misuse, Swisscom checks whether your scripts in the following CMS are up to date:

  • WordPress
  • Drupal
  • Joomla
  • Magento
  • WooCommerce
  • PrestaShop
  • Typo3

Regardless of which CMS you are using, Swisscom also scans your website for malware. Any malware identified will be quarantined and deleted after 30 days.


Can a file identified as malware be removed from quarantine?

Yes, quarantined files can be removed from quarantine. In general, Swisscom would not recommend that you do so, as files identified as malware may harm your data.


How often do you scan for security vulnerabilities and malware?

Scans for security vulnerabilities and malware are run once a day.


Can I deactivate e-mail notifications about security checks?

Yes, you can deactivate notifications in the HostCenter Control Panel in the relevant context menu under “Domains and websites” > “Security”.
