Logitech Harmony und Swisscom TV UHD Box

    • So far my Logitech Harmony Elite remote control with IR dongle and HUB has worked perfectly. We now have a UHD box and I can’t “match” it. The commands don’t arrive. What is it about?

    Actions adopted 1:1 - UHD device added.

    With the TV 2.0 box, everything worked, from changing channels to volume, recordings, etc.

    HUB is a little out of reach of the box (below in the box), IR dongle pulled up from the HUB to the TV-Box. That’s how it worked so far.

    Are you using the HD box’s USB IR dongle? Actually, this should also work, but maybe something has changed since the new UHD box update.

    I have a Logitech Harmony Ultimate myself and use the new IR dongle here:

    The USB IR dongle works for me on the UHD box as before, that hasn’t changed. This dongle will appear in the box menu as

    “USB IR dongle status: connected”

    displayed. Selection: Home > Gear > System > Remote control.

    The white Swisscom Original BT-FB from HD and UHD Box are not compatible.

    However, the commands for both types of boxes are compatible when operated via the IR dongle. Most commands work without changing the programming of the box type on Logitech FB! (individual commands could possibly differ, or are they not available on both boxes?).

    So you could switch back to the HD Box and test whether the Logitech works again with the old or alternatively with the new programming. Then switch to the UHD box without having to reprogram anything at Logitech.

    With every command via the IR dongle that the box recognizes, the white LED on the box lights up.

    So I use the IR dongle that came with my Logitech Elite in the pack (2x were included). The FB of the TV Box 2.0 worked with this, but not with the UHD box. am I doing something wrong? Does this need to be adjusted somewhere in the menu? It can’t be that I have to buy an IR dongle from Swisscom so that the Logitech can work? All devices in the household run perfectly via this FB, except the UHD box.

    Maybe it doesn’t work as well as you think with the HD Box. Certain HD boxes have a built-in IR receiver, which also works for individual users.
