Hello, could you please tell me where to download the firmware 5.0.0.30 for Centro Grande (Pirelli) ? if possible, a site within the swisscom domain. Thank you!
Centro Grande is a triple play device. The br0 is the internal network (LAN ports WLAN AP's) Swisscom TV needs multicast to work. Multicast is like a radio signal for IP. (send to many not only to one)
If you don't have Swisscom TV you could disable it. But I wouln't. It doesn't affect you in any case.
Go to command line (telnet)
telnet 192.168.1.1
admin
your password
conf
set /dev/br0/mcast/enabled 0
reconf 1
Swisscom TV users can try this an see your stream stopping. Doing the same but
set /dev/br0/mcast/enabled 1
reconf 1
and the stream starts to work as usual.
Usually here http://www.swisscom.ch/res/hilfe/downloads/dsl/index.htm?languageId=de&campID=src_firmware&
But it's still the older version. Reboot your Router and it should update to the new version.
Or get it there: http://tpirelli.blogspot.com/2010/08/firmware-images.html
Thanks Tuxone!
Could you please tell me another thing:
I found this kind of messages about "multicast group" in the system log... what do they mean?
if they are useless, is there a way to make the router not execute them?

Where can I find the command line?

If you don't know that, its better to NOT configure anything that way - it's a EXPERT mode that you should only use if you really KNOW what you do.
