Search in myCloud

There is no search mode in MyCloud, only a partial sorting mode!

There are also some options under Chronicle.

Dear Swisscom. I’ve been with MyClodu since day 1 and really appreciate the service. But since day 1 I’ve been asking for a search function that every database should have. For months I’ve been getting the answer that something is coming. But I’ve been hearing that for a year now.

I have several thousand documents on MyCloud, but no search function. Unfortunately, the added value is not that great.

I’m curious about the current status of this feature.

I was just looking for a way to use the search function in myCloud and came across this - sorry - old thread. Doesn’t seem to be solved yet. I would find it helpful if you could switch the display of file names on and off in the image overview of the albums. Currently the file name can only be seen after opening the image via the “i” icon. Alternatively, a list view instead of tiles would be helpful. At least until the search function problem is solved

That’s really the case. I can’t fully explain it either. I don’t think a search function in cloud storage is that futuristic. I use MyCloud to backup my file server at home. This means that there are mainly documents on it. A picture view doesn’t help me either. I would like to be able to search for a file in a trivial way like in Windows Explorer….

A search function with a focus on files is currently being tested internally. We are also currently in the process of implementing a program where new functions can be used/tested by interested users at an early stage before they are then activated for everyone. There should be news soon 😉

The search mode probably doesn’t have a high priority at Swisscom. Until then it helps: In the web browser “cmd” and “f” (Mac) or “cntrl.” and type “f” (Win) and the location you are looking for will be marked in the list.

It will take a few more days.

We haven’t forgotten you and we are happy to announce that search is now available in myCloud Web, for IOS and Android!

It is currently available to Swisscom customers who have activated extended storage, and will soon be available to all myCloud users.

In a first version, files and folders can be searched in myCloud.

The result of the search in files is not complete, there are many files in the result… the indexing does not seem complete. Unfortunately, such a search tool is not needed
