How do I get web access back to my home IP camera ?

Before upgrading to TV 2.0 last month, I used to be able to connect to a home IP camera from the web. Since upgrading I can no longer connect and can't see why it has stopped working.

I have changed nothing on the camera settings, the router is unchanged and can still access the camera using house WiFi. Plus the camera still sends out alarm emails to external email addresses. Any suggestions on what is stopping web access to view live images remotely?

You need to open the port your router and forward it internally. It's called port forwarding.

Hi,
thanks for suggestion. I in fact have port forwarding set up and the issue is all worked well, until after we switched to tv2.0. That may or not be a coincidence of course.
Can I just check with you what should be the external IP to use for the camera?

You're probably using a dynamic ip so putting an external ip in your cam settings is useless cuz its changable, you can keep using the internal ip, set port forward to that ip, then use the new feature provided from Swisscom to create a dyndns hostname and use this to connect to your cam.
