Connecting a WLAN Box 2 to Centro Business 2.0

Hello, I am trying to connect a WLAN Box 2 to a Centro Business 2.0 Router. I have connected the WLAN-Box to the power supply in the desired location as well as switched on the WLAN-Box. I have pressed the (+) Button in order to start the pairing process, however the Centro Business 2.0 Router does not have a (+) Button. How can I make these two devices pair?

You can initiate the procedure on the main router from the web interface.

The consumer WLAN-Boxes are not compatible with the Centro Business Routers.

Oops, I didn’t even notice. I assumed he was talking about Business WLAN Box.

It says it’s compatible with CB 3, not sure if it would work with CB 2. Customer support will surely be able to help.

Thanks for your help! Unfortunately Customer Support wasn’t really helpful. I will return the WLAN Box 2 and find a different solution!

Even though the WPS doesn’t work, you should be able to connect it manually.

As @POGO 1104 already mentioned, the consumer WLAN-Boxes are incompatible with the CB.

Even if the WPS pairing would succeed or if they would be connected directly via Ethernet, there would be no way to configure them.

They do not clone the Wi-Fi they connect to via WPS, but fetch the configuration from the Internetbox. If there is no Internetbox, there is no Wi-Fi 😉

Pity, maybe the best option to stay with Swisscom hardware is to upgrade to CB 3 and Business WLAN-Box.
