Internet Booster sometime loosing connection and not bringing any additional speed

Hello everybody, I've recently applied for the Internet Booster option and I got immediatelly a 3rd generation Router and an internet booster antenna.

Everything went fine with the Router, indeed the Booster was not attaching to the Mobile Network.

After few hours of troubleshooting 2 days of patience, Swisscom apparently fixed the problem and the Booster was finally connecting to the mobile network.

The problem I'm still facing is the following:

1) Even if the connection to the mobile network is quite good, each 5/10 minutes the Booster is loosing the connection and it reconnects by himselt;

2) Even when the connection is up&running, I don't get any Mbit from the Router.

Any idea what might be the issue? I strongly suspect is something at configuration level at Swisscom, but I cannot be sure.

Fyi, the Mobile Signal Strength shown in the Web Admin Page of the Booster, says -93 dB (3 bars out of 5).

As far as i know the Internet Booster uses a Mobile Network chip to connect itself with a GSM-Antenna (for Mobile Phones). Sometimes, also at SIM-Cards in a normal mobile phone, there are issues with the connection between phone and antenna.

In this case, the hotline just needs to disconnect and reconnect your SIM (or in your case the module) with their Antenna system. And it works fine again.

Maybe this could be the problem.

Hello, unfortunately not. But for sure it can't be something an onsite tech can solve. It must be something at configuration level.

If the problem will not be solved in a few days, I will give back the equipment so that we can remove the booster from my client configuration

After a new ticket opening and a new visit of the technician, I have accepted to give the booster back.

We will remain forever with the doubt of what was the root cause.
