search function not working

Searching does not return any results for keywords, movie/series titles, or actors.

The only results that do come up are the names of channels, for example “itv.” If I search for “queen” or “die queen” it does not return the program “Die Queen” which I can see in the tv guide in one hour’s time.

We upgraded to 2.0 today, and watching live tv works fine; I can also scroll ahead several days in the tv guide.)

Would it help to reset the box? I haven’t tried this yet as I’m afraid this might erase all the recordings I have set up.

I think the search function is fairly useless. It rarely finds any information. What’s the solution?!

Hello zurichusa and bramsay,

To optimize the search function, I recommend to press “Option” > the magnifying glass icon > “Option” > "Filter by language > select “All”.

Sorry, but I still think the current search version is inferior to the version on the old system. Tried following your advice but I am not impressed by the result.

@zurichusa: is your problem solved by now? I heard that when you activate a completely new box, it can take approx. 1 day until its completely registered in all systems and all features fully work.

@bramsay: what do you miss in the current search function? do you have any examples for search requests that did not return what you hoped?
