It is not possible with the Swisscom TV-Box 5. The Apple AirPods are only compatible with an Apple TV Box.

Is it possible, that you are confusing the AirPods with the Homepods?

While I don't have a TV-Box 5, I've used AirPods with Android for quite a long time.

IMO it should work: Simply long-press the button on the case while the AirPods are inside until the led flashes white, then select the AirPods in the bluetooth menu of the TV-box.

At first, the Bluetooth was disabled, but now, the Bluetooth works on the TV5 box, allowing the use of headphones from a different brand than Apple's AirPods. Although the AirPods are recognized, the sound and volume do not work, and they remain muted even though they are connected but displayed in gray. It's possible that a future update may recognize them and enable normal operation.
