Internet Box 2 as WLAN Box

Hello,

I moved to new house with optic fibre. I received new IB4 for the connection which sits in the basement. Unfortualy, the wifi signal on first floor is very weak. I have internet box 2 from my old apartment. Is it possible to use the internet box 2 has WLAN extender (similar to WBOX 2) by connecting it to the ethernet port on the first floor which wired by fibre optic cable to IB4 in the basement?

Why bother, just get a WLAN-Box 2 and enjoy the benefits of the WiFi6. It’s less than 100.- CHF.

Even if it’s possible, it’s not worth the hassle. You’ll get better experience with the device that’s designed specifically for that purpose.

Thank you very much. I was hoping that there is an east solution. I prefer not to creat more e-waste. But, I take your advice and get new box.
