Dear Community,
As of 21 June 2023, there will be a few changes to blue Sport:
New blue Sport subscriptions
In the future, there will be 2 subscription models. The blue Sport package featuring major Swiss and international football leagues (Super League, Champions League, etc.) is now available as an annual subscription (CHF 34.90/month) or monthly subscription (CHF 49.90/month).
The annual subscription has a minimum contract period of 12 months in the first year, after which a monthly cancellation period applies. The monthly subscription, on the other hand, can be cancelled at any time at the end of the month. This is especially attractive for those who only watch football at certain times, such as in the final stages of the championships.
For whom will the new prices apply?
Existing blue Sport customers can keep their current subscription at CHF 29.90/month. Also, anyone taking out the sport subscription before 21 June 2023 will benefit from the previous price. The new price applies to all Sport subscriptions taken out after that date.
Pay-per-view to stop
blue TV customers are purchasing individual events less and less. For this reason, from 21 June 2023, pay-per-view will no longer be offered as an option. If you know an important game is coming up that you don't want to miss, with the flexible monthly subscription option, you can book blue Sport specifically for the period in question.
Why are the changes necessary?
blue Sport is adjusting its prices to maintain its reporting quality and the extensive range of content. This is because broadcasting rights in sport are hotly contested and the costs are increasing. These changes are necessary to remain competitive in the national and international sports rights market.
The good news is that, in addition to prices for rights, the number of matches broadcast is also increasing. So you automatically get more content; for example, 48 additional Credit Suisse Super League matches and, starting from the 2024/2025 season, an additional 65 UCL matches as well as +132 UEL/UECL matches.
Do you subscribe to blue Sport? Or do you only watch football in the stadium? Share with the Community and don't hesitate to ask a question in the comment box if anything is unclear.
Best wishes,
Joel
