The news is already out: the new Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra is here. Alongside a host of new features, you can look forward to the most advanced camera yet, gaming performance at the highest level and a design that is even more environmentally conscious.
Super camera
The Galaxy S23 Ultra is the first Samsung Galaxy to feature an Adaptive Pixel sensor with 200 megapixels. This, combined with artificial intelligence, means you can expect significantly better pictures from the Ultra compared to its predecessor. The camera also features other upgrades in addition to the sensor:
- The double optical image stabiliser ensures better shot stability in all directions in low light conditions.
- Thanks to 8K quality with 30 frames per second, videos look even more cinematic.
- With the new Expert RAW app, Samsung now allows you to shoot in RAW format.
- The improved Nightography features also produce higher quality photos and videos in various lighting conditions.
- The selfie camera has a fast autofocus and HDR.
- AI analyses the details in images to carefully reproduce the dynamic features of the subject.
A Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 at its heart
A newly developed CPU microarchitecture boosts the processing power of the Galaxy S23 series by about 30% compared to the S22 series. The optimised GPU also provides better graphics with about 41% faster performance.
Even more recycling
Samsung uses even more recycled material in the manufacturing of the S23 series, including recycled aluminium, glass and discarded fishing nets, water barrels and plastic bottles. The S23 Ultra uses 12 components, compared to 6 in its predecessor, the Galaxy S22.
