  • I have the same problem and initially suspected that Swisscom was blocking video traffic. But now I tested the following:

    S4 with Swisscom SIM:

    - App only works via WiFi

    iPhone with Sunrise SIM:

    - App works with mobile network

    Now with thetering activated, it works in all combinations: for example, if I activate the personal hotspot on the S4, the app works on a connected iPhone or Android tablet.

    So, I thought, it’s probably more to do with Android or the Android app than with the provider.

    Nevertheless, I removed the Sunrise SIM from the iPhone and placed it in the S4 with the adapter frame. When I start the app, the warning appears again: “To establish a connection to your local cameras, you should turn on the Wi-Fi settings (WLAN) of your mobile phone.”

    BUT: It still works - so it’s up to Swisscom. I always get the error message: “Connection timeout exceeded. Would you like to reconnect?”

    I seem to remember that it used to work for me via mobile network!
