Hi,
after experimenting a lot of failures from my IB2, I had disconnections and no internet access for more than 20 mins at least once a week on average lately, and when working from home this is not acceptable. Everytime I would get an appointment to get it fixed I had to cancel it because it always eventually came back to life. So I bough a 5G modem (not the swisscom one) and needed a multi WAN router, so I got a cheap Unifi UCG. I want to use the DSL line as one of the WANs (5G WAN works like a charm), and since IB2 cannot be bridged, I got a Vigor 2766, which I setup in bridge mode, to act as a pure gfast modem for one f the UCG WANs. The UCG handles the DHCP option 60, and the vigor can sync, I get an IP address (100.x.x.x) from the DSL gateway, and the vigor reports all is fine, connected with G.fast, but then afterwards I can’t browse the web. I can’t even ping the 100.x gateway. I spent 1H30 with swisscom tech support on the phone yesterday and the guy was nice, but had no clue. He registered the MAC address of the Vigor, but nothing happened. At first I was able to see the portal registration page which was asking for a 6 digit access number but tech support couldn’t figure what this number is. Eventually the registration portal didn’t work anymore. Now the issue is, we switched back and forth the Vigor and the IB2 multiple times and I suspect it triggered the rogue alarm I read about on this forum.
At some point the IB2 was still able to connect so I tried to spoof its MAC when using the Vigor, and after that even the IB2 no longer works at all.
What can I do ? Thanks
