Internet security

I installed sequoia on my iMac os and since then I’ve had no access to this application (nor to internet security, nor to my security). I have 5 devices connected to this application and when I check on the 4 other devices whether all 5 are protected, the application tells me that they are all protected… Is my mac really protected?

Yes, the iMAC and e.g. also the new Windows 11 already have their own security programmes which are completely sufficient, it is important that you do not click on dubious links in e-mails and no existing or additional security programme would offer any protection.

Yes, modern computers, including Macs, are sufficiently protected out of the box. Any additional security software is basically superfluous or even counterproductive, including Swisscom Security products. Most experts will recommend that you cancel your Swisscom Security subscription and remove the software from all your systems.

Have you tried turning it off and on again?

@Jeupifeuld74 Please uninstall the Internet Security package, it’s just a nuisance and doesn’t protect you any more than the operating system itself.
Unless you always want to have problems with programmes, have pseudo error messages and make Swisscom richer.
The biggest danger is still sitting in front of the keyboard and screen, no AI and no company F Secure can help.

@Jeupifeuld74

Uninstall this security suite immediately, it’s completely useless. Your Mac is already perfectly protected by XProtect and Gatekeeper. By default, it uses the highest level of security, called “Maximum Security”. Adding extra protection would only complicate things and cause unnecessary problems.
