BlueTV abroad

  • Good evening
This question came to me while following a conversation here about BlueTV.
If I’m abroad, in France for example, can I follow Swiss television programmes live on my smartphone? Or is everything blocked when I cross the border?
    Thank you for your help.

      But is that even legal?

      Why shouldn’t it be legal?
As long as you don’t publicly broadcast the Swiss TV programme abroad, it’s not a problem

It always depends on the content. Geoblocking is often used for sports broadcasts, for example (as I know from SRF, ZDF, ARD or ORF). RÚV.is, for example, also blocks news in some cases.

It’s best to try it out. It usually always works with a VPN. Your Internet box also allows this.

      Thanks a lot.
I’m going to try that very soon. It would be interesting, because it’s true, without a satellite dish, you can’t receive Swiss TV in France. So when I’m there, my acquaintance will be able to see the programmes.
But by the way, is all this legal?

        Thanks again.
But in the end, I’m not going to try it. If it works without a VPN, then OK. If not, too bad!
        I’ll keep in touch.
        Have a good evening.
