Internet Box 4: Speedtest application "not yet ready for 10Gbit/s glass fibre technology"

  • Hello,

For a few weeks now, the internal speed test of the Internet Box 4 has not been working in my home. The only error displayed is that the speed test for 10 Gbit/s fibre optic technology is not yet ready and cannot be started.

However, this worked without any problems until recently. Since then, I have also been unable to measure the Wi-Fi signal strength in the app for iOS, as this test is part of the speed test application.

Does anyone have the same problem?

    • Pagiediy81 Please restart the router. If it still does not work, please reset the router. Before doing so, make a note of all the settings and configure them manually after restarting the router. This way you can avoid faulty backups.

I have the same problem with the IB3, same error message. Also with fibre optics. I have the subscription M. In addition, I cannot access the WLAN settings either via the My Swisscom app or via the MySwisscom website. The website says:

        ""Your WLAN
Sorry, unfortunately the content could not be loaded.

        Settings are only partially available.

Switch off your router, wait 30 seconds, switch your router back on and try again.""

Switching it off and on again did nothing.

Is it the firmware 15.10.08/2415? I probably received the update in the night from 13.03.2025 to 14.03.2025.

user109 Thanks for the tips. I had already rebooted, but unfortunately that didn't bring any improvement. I had hoped to avoid having to reset the router. But I'll give it a try in the next few days.

Hm, it may be due to the latest firmware. Unfortunately, I can't remember when I updated and whether the speed test has stopped working since then. Let's see if a factory reset has any effect, otherwise there's probably nothing else to do but wait for the next FW update.

It was really the reset that fixed the problem. I was able to restore most of the settings from the backup without the problem coming back, so the effort was limited. Of course, it would still be better if resetting the router is not necessary to fix such a problem again in the future.
