Small questions that the Swisscom service was unable to answer... and directed me here (!) ;-)

**1. Can you confirm whether the TV-Box 5 uses Bluetooth version 5.0 and whether it supports advanced features such as multipoint broadcasting or Dual Audio?

**2. Which Bluetooth profiles are supported by the TV-Box 5 (e.g. A2DP for stereo audio, AVRCP for remote control)?

**3. Can the TV-Box 5 connect to two Bluetooth audio devices, such as our Bluetooth headsets, simultaneously to broadcast the same audio stream?

4. If so, is it possible to ensure perfect synchronisation (low latency) between the two devices connected, and what codec is used to minimise this latency (aptX Low Latency, AAC, or SBC only)? **

5. Are there any specific hardware or software limitations that would prevent multiple Bluetooth audio devices from being connected simultaneously?

**6. Could this feature be activated via a software update if it is not currently available?

**7. If the TV-Box 5 does not support Bluetooth simulcasting, is it compatible with external Bluetooth transmitters connected to the TV-Box audio output (such as a Toslink optical transmitter)?

**8. Can the HDMI and optical audio outputs work simultaneously if a Bluetooth adapter is used on one of them?

Unfortunately, the Box5 does not support multi audio streaming via Bluetooth.

If a Bluetooth audio device is paired, audio is unfortunately no longer output via HDMI

I doubt whether these limitations can be remedied by a software update….

The Box5 has no audio output, neither analogue nor Toslink.

An external HDMI audio extractor must be used.

      Hello Phunlocho66

The operating system of the Swisscom TV box is based on Google Android. It can therefore be assumed that there are similar functional possibilities and limitations. Example: Even on a smartphone, the device cannot output sound simultaneously via speakers and headset/headphones.

POGO 1104 Thanks for your reply. I had bought the Real Cable HD2A113-4K anyway. But of course, that didn’t solve my problem of watching TV together with each of us (my wife and I) wearing our respective Airpods so as not to wake the sleeping children 🙁

GuidoL Thanks for your reply. But I’ve never wanted to listen to the sound on the TV AND on my airpods at the same time. We just want to listen to TV Box5 on 2 Bluetooth headsets at the same time.

Then you probably have no choice but to look for an HDMI audio extractor with Bluetooth interface, which is suitable for multi-audio streaming - or in extreme cases to connect 2 such extractors in series for one headphone set each
