Replay jumps to live at the end of the programme

Hello everyone,

For some time now, something incredibly annoying has been happening when watching time-shifted TV (online at tv.vlue.ch). If you are watching a time-shifted programme that is not yet finished, the programme always jumps to live when the programme comes to an end. This makes absolutely no sense and is just incredibly annoying.

Example:
I arrive 20 minutes late for the downhill race and rewind to the start of the race so that I can watch it from the beginning. But the moment the programme finishes live, it jumps to live without asking. You can imagine how horribly annoying this is with sports programmes, you always see the final result straight away and the excitement is gone.

How can you switch this off?

Thank you very much!

Unfortunately you can’t switch this off, it’s probably a current bug in the blue TV platform.

The jump from the current replay directly into the live programme also happens to me more often on the blue TV app for the Apple TV box, where it is usually about 5 minutes before the end of the replay programme and even if you re-enter the replay programme and use the “Continue watching” command, you can no longer continue watching at the jump point.

Perhaps @RomanE or @RomanBl know more about whether this replay problem is already known internally and is being worked on.

yes, this can happen with programmes that run over the scheduled end time, such as a ski run that has been delayed …
in that case, it’s best to record the programmes you want to watch in advance.

set the recording parameters to -10 minutes before the broadcast and +30 minutes after the broadcast
this setting should help to avoid the inconveniences encountered

That alone can’t be the reason, because it also happens on SRF’s Tagesschau programme, which is probably the most punctual SRF broadcast ever. Maybe they sometimes overrun the broadcast time at the end, but even that is extremely rare.

In addition, lead and lag times certainly play a role in recorded programmes, but in my opinion they should not play any role at all in the replay of programmes that are still running live.

I still have this problem, but Swisscom doesn’t care and apparently nobody knows a solution. The main thing is that they can continue to ******* us for services not rendered. However, if anyone knows anything more detailed, I would of course be happy to hear from you.

I have also had the problem for about 1 year. Very annoying. In my experience, WebTV and the app have not been getting better for some time, but have more and more quirks. Disappointing.
