blueTV on Streaming Box: Remote control with numbers

Initial situation: I have Internet via a third-party provider, Swisscom is not an option as there is no fibre optic network and I cannot get bridge mode and IP v4.

I have blueTV Supermax and would also like to watch TV channels via blueTV. With Google TV Chromecast de facto not usable: no digits on the remote control, e.g. to select RSI I have to scroll down 1000 channels.

Received TV Box5 yesterday from the Swisscom shop, but it doesn’t work because the Internet is not available via Swisscom.

A Nokia 8010 would have digit buttons on the remote control, but that doesn’t seem to work?

Is there an alternative TVBox or Smart TV with a numeric keypad remote control for blueTV?

Otherwise I will have to subscribe to another TV streaming service, as Swisscom Internet is a no-go for me.

There are no “streaming boxes” with the blue TV app and a remote control with “old fashioned” number buttons.
As you have already recognised with the “Nokia box”, it is not just a question of whether the number buttons on the remote control are available at all, but whether the blue TV app on the “open” platforms accepts commands with channel numbers at all, which the blue TV app definitely does not.

However, the solution to not having to scroll through pages and pages of a programme guide is always to compile one or more personal channel lists and never use the complete channel list.
My own individual channel list, for example, has less than 20 channels, i.e. only those that I use at all, and then scrolling is no problem at all and channel numbers are also completely irrelevant.

Incidentally, you can also switch back and forth between the different channel lists in the blue TV app settings, so it would also be possible, for example, to configure a favourites list with just under 10 channels and a second individual channel list with perhaps just under 100 channels.

    Werner Thank you Werner,

I almost thought so. And I’ve now also tried the channel lists, which actually works quite well, thank you. Then there’s the search function where you can repeat the last searches: that also saves scrolling.

I still need to find out how I can filter the subscribed channels so that only the available ones appear in the list when zapping.

And I’ll probably sell the TV Box 5, as it’s definitely useless for me
