i can't setup Bluewin e-mail neither on mail application of iOS nor on Outlook 2021!

    I have an iphone 15 Pro, tried to install bluewin email on the mail application, but without success at all! i have done it several times, using both settings mentioned on Swisscom web, i tried the exchange, no success, also as IMAP, not working.

    The same problem i have with Outlook 2021 business, no success at all!

    i have added to both three different e-mail accounts with success, for both Mobile & outlook.

    Only Bluewin email remains as a challenge!

    the only way to access Bluewin is on the web, using password & Text message for security.

    anyone can help?

    Did you use the correct password, it is not the same as for Webmail or MySwisscom. This mus be set here and then used during the installation process:

    yes i did follow the exact detailed as per the link mentioned. it didn’t work for the outlook!

    also the same instructions mentioned for the iOS, it didn’t work.

    it is always this message that communication with the server failed OR the password is wrong, but the password is correct!

    also, i am sure about the password, it is the one for the e-mail, otherwise i can’t long in on the web browser. right?

      Keyeussu85 Once again, the password for webmail is not (!) the same as the one you need to use to install email on Outlook, for example, very important. This is a bit tricky. The password for the webmail is the so-called login, which is also valid for MySwisscom, MyCloud or Swisscom TV, for setting up the e-mail you have to define in MYSwisscom (see link in my first post) and then use this, this must not be the same as for the webmail (!).

      You have to click on the link above, then click on “Settings” at the address

      And there click on “Set e-mail password”, and there you can define it:

        and i am only now trying my mobile, it didnt work!

        and further, i did delete the whole settings on my mobile then started over, using the new password.

        but it didnt work.

        on the mobile iOS, password incorrect right after the verification with the exchange settings.

        On the computer, after all set, the message that communication with the server not possible.

        i am stuck on this for more than 2 months. nothing wrong with my devices or apps! i can set any other e-mail account except this Bluewin email which i will need the most.

        Finally after several attempts it works on my iphone using IMAP!

        i am wondering why it didn’t work before despite the fact that they are the same steps followed each time, for IMAP &/or other methods!

        i do suspect that you need to wait sometime after setting the third password!

        Now next step, setting it up on Outlook! 😄

        And it works magically using IMAP on Outlook for business 2021 using same settings as outlook 365! (if anyone has the same situation as outlook 2021 is not mentioned within the support instructions).

        so it seems that once a password is set as @Gaeilgeoir said, the server need sometime to get ready!

        In fact, it works just as well with Outlook 2016, for example!
