Will there be a dedicated kit for mounting in the distribution box?

Disappointing to see only 1 × 10 Gb port and all the rest just 1 Gb… It would have been nice to include, at least, one 2.5 Gb port.

A lot of nice features there: WiFi 7, Wireguard (nice!)… but wired ports exactly the same as the Internet Box 4.

Hello @JanineZ, are there any plans to bring WireGuard VPN to older Internet-Boxes (3 and 4) as well?

watch this thread VPN Wireguard - Swisscom Community @Werner wrote

Swisscom Internet boxes currently only support L2TP and IKEv2 as VPN servers.

WireGuard may be added in the future as an additional variant, but there is no concrete announcement or roll-out date from Swisscom yet.

If you currently wish to use WireGuard or Open VPN servers on a Swisscom Internet connection, you can use an additional device in your own network, such as a Raspberry PI, a NAS or an additional home router downstream of the Internet box.

Since the WireGuard rollout on the Internet boxes has already taken place with the launch of the latest IB5 Pro model and the firmware release 15 on it, there is a very high probability that WireGuard will also appear on the IB3 and IB4 models with the upcoming release change from R14 to R15.
However, there is no official announcement of this (as always with Swisscom), so it will simply come when it comes, but only if it comes at all 🙂
