You can do this in Kundencenter or via the MySwisscom app. If there is no access for this number yet, this will not work. Then the next time you have to set up customer center access for this number. Then you can always check the balance. Maybe the hotine can tell you how much credit is there, if they want or are allowed to.

I checked and reloaded each time using the Kundencenter.

Of course, this requires that you set it up on site and does not allow an MFA.

A small correction:

“…. does not allow MFA” is not correct, because the Kundencenter of a specific mobile number can also be set up to a different mobile number than the mobile number that the product itself contains in order to send a 2FA SMS code to authenticate access of the customer center.

The father’s KuCe, which includes the father’s mobile number as a product, can be correctly configured and independently “externally managed” by his son, including 2FA, by sending the 2FA codes to the son’s mobile number.
