In accordance with the general conditions for prepaid mobile services, after 12 months without use, the SIM card or eSIM profile loses its validity, the prepaid credit expires and Swisscom recovers the telephone number without paying compensation.
The system sends several warning SMS messages before deactivation, but it is obvious that the alarm system does not process them. In this context it would be necessary to carry out an alarm test every 6 months to check that everything is working.
