Reactivation of my prepaid SIM card

  • Hello, I have a prepaid SIM card in an alarm system. As the alarm has not been activated since June 2022, I have just noticed that my system is no longer working. I think my card has been cancelled. Is it still possible to reactivate it?

      Here is the extract from the prepaid page for the cases of non-use.

      In accordance with the general conditions for prepaid mobile services, after 12 months without use, the SIM card or eSIM profile loses its validity, the prepaid credit expires and Swisscom recovers the telephone number without paying compensation.

      The system sends several warning SMS messages before deactivation, but it is obvious that the alarm system does not process them. In this context it would be necessary to carry out an alarm test every 6 months to check that everything is working.
