TV Program being watched stops and switches to later program

I prefer to watch a program “from the beginning” that started earlier and is already running. This allows to fast forward through unwanted adverts.

However when watching the program “from the beginning” where the live transmission started earlier the program being watched terminates at or near to the scheduled time and the TV switches to the nexr scheduled program.

Is there a setting to avoid this to allow that the program can be watched until the end without interruption.

record the programme before watching it and set the end of recording to + 30 minutes

@Bauckeitteit12 Could you please check, the following, press “home” on the remote control then “options” on the remote control again, then choose “Change home” the please look whether the “Resume” checkbox is ticked.

We use Apple TV in place of tv box. The suggested solution using the apple remote does not provide a place to choose options.
