With a Synology NAS connected, the replay stops after approx. 30'

Whenever I connect my Synology NAS DS214, DSM 6.2.4-25556 Update 7 to LAN, the replay function no longer works. However, if I disconnect the NAS from the network, the replay function works perfectly. Internet box 3, 1Gbit/s. Does anyone know this problem? Thank you for the help

What does your entire network look like?

Do you have special network settings in the NAS?

@Hibeugreuk21 Regardless of the problem, I would strongly recommend that you switch to DSM 7.1 because DSM 6.2.X has been official EoL since October 1st: https://www.synology.com/en-global/ products/status/eol-dsm62

@Hibeugreuk21 If the update from the NAS doesn’t solve the problem, then switch off IPV6 and maybe swap the TV box from port 5 to 4.

Thank you for the help. Unfortunately the update didn’t help. I’ve already tried all ports to no avail. The NAS only appears with an IPV6 address where the IP address itself appears: none…? Is that normal? Sorry, I’m not an expert

@FlySmurf Does the DS214 support DSM 7.2? I haven’t figured out how to get it installed, the latest version according to the Synology website is DSM 7.1.1

Switch off IPV6 in the GUI of the InternetBox. Interestingly, only the NAs and a TV box have a V6 address.

IPV6 switched off on the NAS and router, the only thing that changes is that the whole network is much slower and the replay function still stops after about 10 seconds.

Have you perhaps activated DHCP in the NAS AND the Internet box?

Problem, I think solved. I moved and have the NAS on a new network. The setting in the NAS for the IPV4 address was manual and therefore an old guess from a layman. I have now set it to automatic and lo and behold, the replay function is currently working. IPV6 is also on automatic. Thank you for everyone who wrote a post. TOP👍
