On the desktop and notebook I use the free email client Thunderbird with IMAP:

In Thunderbird, all of my email accounts from different providers, address books and appointments are together and I can set and maintain everything the way I want and I don’t have to rely on the providers’ webmails. Everything runs faster with more convenience and many more options than webmail or a “collective email account”.
