Expand WLAN with access point for network camera
Hi
To set up network cameras (Eufy), I need to extend the WiFi range.
In addition to the Swisscom Box WLAN, I have already set up a TP-Link access point (connected with an Ethernet cable) on the other side of the house (same network name, same password & encryption)
When I move around the house with my smartphone, it “jumps” nicely from one network to the other and I also have full reception at the planned location of the outdoor camera.
If I now want to set the camera to the outside position, it won’t find the access point and will probably try to find the “main network”. Because this is too far away, no connection is established.
Is there a way to change the AP details so that the camera accepts them or do I have to make a different setting on the Swisscom Box? Or do you see another option.
All Swisscom Box settings were left default, the same applies to the AP
Thanks for your ideas
