A brief message from the specialist press: https://www.telesatellite.com/actu/66409-lci-disponible-en-hd-sur-la-tnt-gratuite.html
Can someone explain to me why LCI is in HD on the internet in Blue TV and not on the TV box?
Source: https://community.swisscom.ch/d/835444-chaine-lci/4:
The LCI HD version exists but has not been available on Swisscom blue tv for some time due to a financial issue between Swisscom blue tv and the TF1 group

It’s available on Swisscom Blue TV on my computer, so why not on the TV Box 5?
You’ll have to ask Swisscom:

Thanks. I’ll try to check it out!
For your information, LCI has been freely available in HD on French DTT since 1 March 2025. Since that date, the signal has already been picked up by various operators (Sunrise, Net+, for example).
The signal has even been free-to-air on satellite since 1 March.
It remains to be seen whether Swisscom will make the change at the beginning of April.
Hallo Freimmientis36
The channel logo doesn’t say anything. If the provider downscales the signal, you can have an SD picture even though there is an HD logo. Conversely, you can have an HD picture even if the channel logo says nothing about HD. Examples of this are BFM TV or the SRG programmes.
Tip: switch the quality as recommended by @Lapinou. With BFM TV you can see a huge difference in the channel logo. Otherwise just get very close.
I think I’ve found the solution: using the remote control, Option function, search for picture quality (far right) and two options will appear: High Quality or Standard Quality. If High Quality is offered, then HD!
On LCI, no Option is visible, which proves that it’s not HD:
Am I right?
Thank you for your help.
Freimmientis36 Correct, if the picture quality field cannot be selected (i.e. is grey), then the Swisscom channel is only transmitted in SD.
However, you cannot determine whether the signal from the broadcaster itself is in SD or is downsampled by Swisscom.
Stephan_76 Thanks for your reply.
There’s only one thing I’m sure of: if I choose High Quality (when possible, so not for LCI, for example), then it will be HHigh DDefinition!
Enjoy your evening.
