TV box 21 software update

My tv box 21 being eligible for an update, in the message that I will receive for this update, there will certainly be a scheduled date. As you indicate on the site where this update is discussed, it is written that it is done with the box on stand-by, at night. As, in principle, my box and my router are not powered at night, will the date communicated be reliable so that I leave everything powered on so that this update can be done?

On the other hand, can an update of the remote control be done at any time, even before updating the tv box?
